Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026. By booking a tour, excursion, or transfer with Ecological Tours Kenya, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Bookings & Confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us via email. Submitting an enquiry form does not constitute a confirmed booking.
2. Payments
Payment terms will be communicated at the time of confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel an unconfirmed reservation if payment is not received within the agreed timeframe. Prices are quoted in USD or KES and are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation by client: • More than 14 days before departure: Full refund minus any non-recoverable costs • 7–14 days before departure: 50% refund • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund Cancellation by Ecological Tours Kenya: In the unlikely event that we must cancel a confirmed booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disaster, political unrest), we will offer a full refund or an alternative date at no extra charge.
4. Changes to Bookings
Requests to change dates or itineraries must be made in writing at least 7 days before departure and are subject to availability. We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee them.
5. Health & Safety
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate in their chosen activities. We reserve the right to exclude any participant from an activity if we believe their participation poses a risk to themselves or others. We are not liable for any pre-existing medical conditions.
6. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings. Ecological Tours Kenya is not responsible for losses due to lack of insurance.
7. Liability
Ecological Tours Kenya acts as a tour operator and takes all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety. However, we are not liable for: • Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings • Injury, illness, or death arising from activities or circumstances beyond our reasonable control • Delays or changes caused by weather, government decisions, or force majeure events
8. Wildlife & Environment
All clients must comply with wildlife regulations and park rules at all times. Ecological Tours Kenya is committed to responsible tourism. Any behaviour that endangers wildlife, damages the environment, or disrespects local communities may result in immediate termination of the tour without refund.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
